They came and said they couldn’t enter because I wasnt there. Called again to get it fixed saying I wouldn’t be there- gate was open. I assumed it was fixed and came a few days later to find it wasn’t working.

It stopped working and I called to repair the problem $165 plus parts. My 85 year old mother has a chairlift used regularly until she was admitted to hospital. Therefore, to put your feet on the rest, your knees have to bend at a sharp angle, quite difficult for people with knee pain and/or limited movement. When travelling, the footrest is more or less in line with the seat. Low reaching is also required to lift the footrest when folding the chair so the steps are more accessible for others to use. ie: lower the hinged track, and bring the chair back down. The reverse applies when I want to travel up the stairs. Lifting the hinged track also required me to stoop down low to pick it up - not easy with a bad back. Read more use after getting off the chair I have to send the chair back to a charging station several steps above, then raise the hinged section of track so the walkway is clear. In particular the significance of the lower end of the track needing to be hinged so it could be lifted clear of the walkway only became obvious after the install. However I'm not sure whether they didn't cover some important aspects or whether they spoke faster than I was hearing, causing me to miss things. The salesman and installer were pleasant and appeared to know the product well. The stairs terminate at an upper landing, and a lower landing/walkway. I have a recently installed Acorn stairlift.
